.......... The race left New Plymouth (NZ) on 4 April 2010 to complete the 1283 nautical miles to Mooloolaba (Aus). The larger yachts are likely to complete the trip in seven days. First sailed in 1970 the race has always attracted international entrants of adventurous sailors wanting to test themselves and their boats against the notorious Tasman Sea.

Trish a nutritionist and international speaker has won many yacht races in recent years in small boat divisions and short handed (2 handed) classes. In the 2008 Coastal Classic race from Auckland to Bay of Islands, Wishbone was the smallest boat to finish when only 83 completed the race out of the 229 starters. She was placed second in the off shore White Island race in the two handed division and was overall handicap winner of the 2008 Auckland to Tauranga race.

She regularly sails solo on trips around the Hauraki Gulf including out to Great Barrier Island and introduces new sailors to yacht racing.
